Job responsibilities

Ferretly is seeking a Business Development Representative to prospect, qualify, and generate leads for the sales team. Their job is to identify potential customers, reach out to them, and nurture those leads until they are qualified and ready to be closed.

  • Prospect, qualify and generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media engagement, and networking. Aim to find prospects who fit the ideal customer profile and have a genuine interest in social media screening.
  • Research and understand target companies and contacts and their needs to effectively communicate the value of Ferretly’s services and understand social media screening.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads using CRM software (HubSpot and ZoomInfo).
  • Collaborate with CRO and CSM to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, lead status, and relevant information in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Generate reports and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly quotas and goals.
  • Continuously improve and iterate outbound sales processes to optimize conversion rates and efficiency.
  • Ability to perform demonstration of product and speak thoroughly about capabilities.
  • Reach out to leads through various channels to initiate conversations, build relationships, and educate them about our product.
  • Understanding use cases of prospective customers and identifying our product offering as a solution.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, product knowledge, and sales techniques.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outbound sales or a related field.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions in HR Tech market is a huge bonus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with prospects and colleagues.
  • Strong phone presence/video calls and the ability to make cold calls with confidence.
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM software.
  • A strong working understanding of LinkedIn and other tools like ZoomInfo is preferred, as well as social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with a distributed team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Overall the business development representative needs to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads, close deals, and maintain the customer relationship contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization. Reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
