Social Media Analyst

Ferretly is a modern cloud platform used by organizations of all sizes to thoroughly analyze a subject’s online persona. Ferretly incorporates artificial intelligence to analyze public social media posts and surface behaviors about the candidate to ensure they reflect the values of the organization and brand. Our machine learning algorithms identify behaviors across 12 distinct classifications such as threats, disparaging, prejudice, self-harm, politics, and more. Responsibilities

1. Perform identity resolution on the subjects assigned to you. Identify social media profiles with platform searches and open-source tools such as Google and other websites, using name, address, employer, age, and similar details.
2. Run the social media screen in the Ferretly platform.
3. Perform quality assurance, also called report redress, to resolve falsely flagged posts and finalize the report with the platform’s “mark as redressed” feature.

Requirements

The analyst must be good at multi-tasking, balancing end-customer requests and Ferretly management requests at the same time. They should understand the country of hire’s culture, slang, and dialect, and be able to quickly correct flags for false positives and false negatives. The analyst should also bring creativity and analytical skill to managing their time, especially when locating social media profiles and checking the accuracy of the report.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS, a web browser (Chrome or Safari), and cloud-based applications is required.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Able to work independently and with a team of other analysts
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Reliable internet and a computer capable of running a modern web browser
