Account Executive - Public Sector

What You Are Accountable For

  • Become a trusted partner selling Ferretly’s SaaS solutions for pre-employment screening and continuous monitoring use/cases in the public sector including law enforcement and education verticals.
  • Routinely meet or exceed sales quotas: ACV bookings and in year revenue
  • Build and maintain relationships with enterprises level clients, understanding the organization’s problems as it relates to background screening, ongoing compliance monitoring and insider threats
  • Independently build and manage your direct sales pipeline in assigned accounts and/or a geographic region
  • Perform demonstrations, prepare prospect proposals, negotiate business terms and manage the overall contractual process
  • Utilize internal resources efficiently and effectively to drive the sales process with clear thought leadership
  • Keep the company informed on market intelligence regarding the use of social media screening for public sector market

What We Require

  • 2 to 5 years of quota-carrying experience selling SaaS based solutions with a strong track record of closing deals over $25k in ACV/ARR
  • Sales hunter mentality and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong history of quota attainment
  • Possesses the ability to communicate simply, articulately while exuding confidence and humility
  • Experience and relationships with public sector including law enforcement, state and local agencies and public education
  • Desire to understand and communicate the underlying technology to business prospects
  • Understanding of the background screening and investigative industries
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a business solution centric mindset
  • A self starter. Need to have a roll up your sleeves mentality with an ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-growth environment

Business Development Manager

The Position

Ferretly is seeking a sharp, agile, and high energy entry level sales representative to help accelerate our growth. In this role, you will make outbound calls to potential clients who have expressed interest in learning more about Ferretly or appear to be vital potential customers based upon our general market focus.

The sales representative qualifies prospective customers through targeted questions about their business strategy, including informing them about Ferretly’s offering and ascertaining the prospect's likelihood of being a good match for Ferretly's services. Eighty percent of one's time will be on the phone, and you will play an integral role in building our sales pipeline and our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively build, maintain, and manage a highly productive pipeline via outbound outreach.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to inbound sales inquiries via phone calls and emails.
  • Ability to perform online demonstrations to key prospects and stakeholders.
  • Prospect and identify key decision-makers to develop sales opportunities.
  • Explain how Ferretly brings value to corporations as a tool for pre-employment screening and continuous monitoring.
  • Document all activities, lead dispositions, and insights within our CRM.
  • Consistently achieve qualified quotas to ensure the revenue objectives of the sales department.
  • Routinely meet or exceed sales quotas: ACV bookings and in year revenue
  • Maintain clear communication and work through challenges with sales executives.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience successfully managing a high volume of client interactions, preferably over the phone.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with the phone as your primary communication tool.
  • Goal-oriented team player that is hungry to meet monthly sales goals.
  • Proven history of success and achievement in a sales environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have worked on an inside sales team for a SaaS-based solution company.
  • You have substantial achievements in sales and desire to exceed goals.
  • You are proficient with CRM and opportunity management systems
  • You understand the background screening industry.
