We’re seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. You’ll drive Ferretly’s expansion by managing inbound leads, delivering compelling sales demos, booking strategic meetings, executing outbound campaigns, and supporting event presence. As a HubSpot all-star, you’ll leverage our CRM to streamline workflows, track KPIs, and fuel growth in our key verticals: Media, Finance, Insurance, Government, Education, Tech & more.

Job responsibilities

  • Inbound Lead Management: Qualify and respond to inbound leads (e.g., via website, LinkedIn) within 24 hours, nurturing prospects through the sales funnel using HubSpot workflows.
  • Sales Demos: Conduct engaging 30 minute virtual demos of Ferretly’s platform, showcasing its value for hiring, influencer vetting, and compliance to HR, marketing, and procurement decision-makers.
  • Strategic Meeting Booking: Schedule high-value meetings with C-level executives, HR directors, and marketing VPs, using HubSpot to track outreach and follow-ups.
  • Outbound Campaigns: Execute targeted email and LinkedIn direct outreach campaigns to prospects in key verticals, personalizing outreach (e.g., referencing industry pain points like hiring risks or brand safety) to attract new demos.
  • Event Support: Assist with exhibiting at conferences and local events including managing booth, lead capture, and post-event follow-ups.
  • HubSpot Mastery: Optimize HubSpot for lead scoring, email automation, pipeline management, and reporting (e.g., open rates, conversions). Maintain clean data and track KPIs like response rates and demo bookings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Growth to refine outreach strategies, increase demo bookings, and improve close rates.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 2-3 years in sales, business development, or customer success, preferably in SaaS, HR tech, or marketing tech.
  • HubSpot Expertise: Proven proficiency in HubSpot CRM (e.g., workflows, sequences, reporting). HubSpot Sales or Marketing Hub certification is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and presentation skills for demos and outreach.
    • Ability to personalize cold emails and LinkedIn messages to drive engagement.
    • Comfort with virtual tools (e.g., Zoom, Loom) for demos and video outreach.
    • Organized, with a knack for managing multiple leads and deadlines.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn. Comfortable with AI-driven solutions and explaining technical benefits to non-technical audiences.
  • Location: Michigan preferred (Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor) for proximity to manager, but remote US candidates welcome.
